With a consolidated turnover of 647 million €, the Železiarne Podbrezová group belongs among the 15 biggest entrepreneurial subjects in Slovakia. The company employs almost 7 000 people in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Poland and Germany.

The story of the Železiarne Podbrezová Group brand began to unravel after the acquisition of a vital share of the ŽĎAS joint stock company Žďár nad Sázavou (Czech republic). At that moment, the group not only became the supplier of steel tubes, but it also entered the metallurgy field and heavy engineering. It became the supplier of assembly groups for the metallurgy, machine, automotive and food industries as well as a supplier of pressing machinery, graduation machines, packing machines, castings and forgings. The relevance and importance of this strategic decision was later confirmed by the acquisition of the TS Plzeň company (Plzeň, Czech Republic). Production of steel tubes, semi-finished tubular products and buttwelding fittings occurs in two places. They are: Železiarne Podbrezová joint stock company (Slovakia) and Transformaciones Metalúrgicas, S.A. in Premia de Mar, Spain.
